Fenella joined in 1957 and worked for shipping and Central Services. She soon became a Radio Production secretary in Talks and Current Affairs on such programmes as Today, Woman’s Hour, Round Britain Quiz, Week in Westminster and so on. In 1965 she moved to television and became a Production Assistant working on a wide variety of Education Programmes and retiring from the post of PA to Controller Educational Television in 1993.
