Aspiring to be a DJ, Andy worked his way into BBC Radio Stoke as a ‘hanger on’ while still at school. At Imperial College he landed on-air work on Radio London and Radio1. He talks of Radio Oxford, the BBC foreign recordings unit and the transcription service with many anecdotes and technical insights. Later, he got involved with BBC commercial video and interactive television, working on the Domesday project. This led to involvement with European technology initiatives.
